Catering


Meals are available to order from a selection of menus and, as a general guide, are available at the following times:

  • Breakfast from 8.00am
  • Lunch from 12.00 noon
  • Dinner from 5.30pm

During your stay at Kingston Private Health, meals and refreshments will be served in your room by a member of our friendly support staff.

We recognise the importance of diet in assisting with your recovery so we ensure a wide variety of choice across our menus. Our menus have been nutritionally assessed to ensure they meet the guidelines of the British Dietetic Association for hospital menus and are carefully planned by our on-site chef to provide nutritional and culinary satisfaction.

A member of our hotel services team is available to discuss your requirements, assist with your choices and answer any questions you may have. Please let them know if you would like a certain size of portion, small or large, so we serve the right amount.

We have an inpatient menu for our guests staying overnight and an alternative menu for those who are with us for a shorter period. A young person’s menu is also available. A selection of hot and cold beverages are available throughout the day on request.

When the full menu is not suitable for you in the post-operative stage or at certain other times during your stay related to your medical condition, an alternative light menu will be offered, as appropriate. Your nurse will advise you on the suitability of certain food choices to reflect any medically necessary constraints.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please ask to see a member of the hotel services staff, the chef or catering team. If you would like to discuss your dietary requirements further, the services of a dietitian are available.

Refreshments for your visitors

Our hotel services team are delighted to offer your visitors room service on request. We can provide an appetising range of hot main dishes, vegetarian meals, salads, sandwiches, snacks and beverages. Please see a member of the hotel services team who will be able to take the order and advise on choice.

We will endeavour to serve your guests at the same time as your meal. There may however be a slight delay with impromptu guest dining, as patient pre-ordered meals take priority.

Your views are very important to us and allow us to continually review and improve the service we deliver. If you have any comments regarding the catering service please ask to speak to the duty chef or kindly complete the patient satisfaction questionnaire given to you on admission.
